49 miles, running total 310 miles
A postscript to last night: Tommy gets dressed up at St Briavels Castle to ward off the supposed ghost, a lady-like vision with white poufy hair – can’t think who that would be!
and he carried all this kit in his saddle bag.........
Lunch stop on the lawn at Hereford Cathedral, Tommy still has sufficient energy to play ball
Today’s cycling saw us descend into the beautiful Wye Valley and on to Ross on Wye with a lunch break on the lawns by Hereford Cathedral.
5 minutes rest overlooking the River Wye
We deviated from our original route to take a quieter, flatter ride which put up our estimated mileage of 43 to actual miles of 49.
The County of Herefordshire now 'ticked off'

Way Hey!! So pleased to see CW & Freddo at last! And thankfully they are not of the chocolate variety - hate to imagine what they would have looked like by now, if they were! St Briavels Castle looks wonderful and definately a place to enjoy a few glasses of vino. Hope the weather stays well for you. Bit wet here. All the best from the Allsop clan.
ReplyDeleteHi Sara
ReplyDeleteNow in Bonnie Scotland! Tommy didn't believe his luck when he stayed in a real castle!
wet yesterday, sunny today but a really strong headwind that knocked the energy right out of Tommy.
Big day tomorrow as we climb the southern Highlands
